BEHIND THE BRAND
VITO SELMA
Founder, Creative Director
Vito is a multi-awarded furniture and industrial designer who began at San Francisco’s Academy of Art College. Embracing his natural born gift, he further pursued design in Milan where he took his Masters in Industrial Design at the Scuola Politecnica di Design.
An exploration of various facets of furniture design paved the way for Vito Selma, to whom he is today. His career began as a Creative Director for a family-run company, Stonesets International, Inc., which had existed since 1988 and that gave him to rise as the Head Design Director.
Vito now established his own independent eponymous brand and design studio, VITO SELMA. his lifestyle brand CASA SELMA, and a design and procurement company, ARCHIPELAGO DESIGN VENTURES INC.
KRIS EMERSON LEE
Founder
Emerson is the co-founder of ARCHIPELAGO DESIGN VENTURES INC., where he focuses on providing insights into emerging design trends while managing the administrative and back-end operations. He is also the President and CEO of Ella Coffee Philippines, where he leads efforts to bring innovative coffee experiences to the local market. Additionally, Emerson manages Quadro Tiles, a leading importer of premium Italian and Chinese tiles, delivering high-quality solutions for modern spaces.
Drawing on his diverse experience across industries, Emerson combines innovation, functionality, and a keen eye for trends. Outside of work, he finds inspiration through travel, food, and an active lifestyle, which fuels his vision for enriching Filipino homes and spaces.
Brand Manager
MAZEN CASTRO
Mazen brings nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality and retail design interiors. She has a sharp eye for detail, materiality, and aesthetics. She built her FF&E expertise with top international design firms in Singapore and the Philippines, mastering everything from design development to on-site installation.
As a natural problem solver, she has the knack of understanding client’s needs and providing carefully thought-out solutions. Her cheerful yet meticulous leadership has helped create projects that blend luxury with unique design touch.
Now, as Archipelago’s Brand and Design Manager, Mazen uses her passion for design and international insights to showcase Filipino craftsmanship on both local and global stages, always aiming to exceed client expectations.
